Kim Gary Restaurant

I'm not a BIG fans of 'Kim Gary'... I don't understand all the hype surrounding this particular restaurant chain... The biggest NO-NO for me is the looooong queue and the way they arrange the table... The space between tables is like 5cm or maybe less??? I'm just not comfortable to sit so close to someone I don't know... And not forgetting the unique talking style when you're in 'Kim Gary'... Shout is the only way to converse so this is a BIG NO-NO if you're trying to impress someone you like...

But sad to say these are also the good point of going to 'Kim Gary'... When you're in 'Kim Gary', you can virtually hallucinate that you're actually in 'Hong Kong' and this is definitely a good point for me... So if your girlfriend or wife tells you that she wanna go 'Hong Kong', just bring her over to 'Kim Gary'... Problem solve without a huge hole in your wallet!!!

Food wise, no complaint from me but definitely not the best around... What I like about 'Kim Gary' is the variety of food that they served... But recently, I'm hooked on one particular menu... The 'A-Mix Set' which is basically a short form for 'American Mix Set'... You get to choose your choice of drinks and soup... Besides the 'A-Mix Set', they have the 'E-Mix Set' as well... Obviously the 'E' stands for 'English' and you can choose the drink and soup as well...

When it comes to ordering these two sets, it seems like I'm answering a questionnaire more than anything else... You will be ask a few question like what kind of drinks that you like and whether you want it cold or hot.  Then move on to the next question... What type of soup you like??? As for the meal, you want it with fries, rice or spaghetti??? What about the gravy??? OMG!!! But you know what, I'm kinda liking it...

'A-Mix Set' with spaghetti combo + black pepper sauce...

'E-Mix Set' with fries combo + garlic sauce...

I don't really know whether I'm liking or hating this place... It really contradicts because I don't like the environment and food is only so so but in the meanwhile, I kinda like the way the the environment is and not forgetting the many ways that I can customize my meal!!! Arhh just forget about it!!!

ATF Cooler For FrankenBenz

Automatic transmission is different compare to manual transmission and I'm sure most of you know the difference... But the difference I'm talking about is not the way they change gear... What I'm talking about here is how they are being cooled... For manual transmission you don't really need to cool it as the temperature is not as hot as automatic transmission... The reason why we need to cool an automatic transmission is because of the torque converter... The torque converter can get really hot... So what is the usual way for cooling an automatic transmission??? Normally the automatic transmission fluid (ATF) gets routed through the radiator...

Recently I found that my 'FrankenBenz' automatic gearbox is becoming more and more lazy to shift, up to a point that I needed to shift the gear manually!!! When I put the gear selector in 'D', my 'FrankenBenz' seems really sluggish and difficult to move... The reason for this is because the gear is stuck in 4th!!! At first I thought that there might be something wrong with my automatic transmission... So off I go asking around and most of them asked me to install a dedicated cooler for my automatic transmission... Since it is not really an expensive mod, I decided to give it a try... I bought a 'Mitsubishi EVO V' oil cooler for this mod... You don't have to waste money on dedicated ATF cooler as it is actually the same as normal oil cooler... A used oil cooler will do unless you are loaded!!!

Initially there is some improvement but it just can't eliminate it totally... Sometimes, I still need to change gear manually, so this is definitely not the culprit... I ran out of idea and decided to sent my car to a 'Toyota 1JZ-GTE' specialist which is located in 'Labu, Seremban'... After checking, he told me that my car 'ECU' is faulty!!! At first I was a bit skeptical because when I first bought the halfcut, everything runs really fine and it is quite hard to get a faulty 'ECU' unless it comes in contact with water... And this is what actually happened!!! Blame myself because I asked my mechanic to place the 'ECU' in the same place where the old 'Merc' 'ECU' reside which is in the engine compartment... But I'm pushing some responsibilities to them as well because they are not knowledgeable enough to tell me that the new 'Toyota' 'ECU' cannot be put in the same place as water will ruin it!!!

After spending those unnecessary money and got my 'ECU' changed, problem solved at last!!! It seems like a lot of those so call mechanic are not really knowledgeable because I bump into someone using 'Merc W124' as well as transplanting the same engine as mine and guess what, he's having problem with his automatic transmission as well!!! His problem is even more severe compare to mine... Stuck in 1st gear all the way!!!

To be continue...

Contagion

At first I didn't even realize about this movie because there is no trailer or advertisement... So obviously no second glance from me even though I know that it is screening in the cinema... So what change my mind to watch it??? Just look at the cast and you know why... Very strong cast I must say... I guess you can't go wrong with lots of BIG names staring in a particular movie...

'Contagion' is a very real life like kind of movie... It talks about epidermic disease and how to identify and act accordingly in order to stop it from spreading... If you expect this movie to have all the thrill and spill, I'm sorry to say that this movie is not your cup of tea... The way they film makes this movie more like a documentary rather than a movie and this is not a bad thing... This movie shows how an epidermic disease spread and causes fear among human and how we react to it... It shows the true faces of human being... Some sacrifice their lives in order to save while some will lie and profit from it!!! Epidermic comes and go but it is indeed a very terrifying thing... No doubt about that... Countless human will suffer and die because of it... Just think about 'SARS' and 'H1N1' and you know what this movie is all about...

For me, this is a very good movie because it show us all the good side and even bad side of human being... The length we go in order to survive is just astonishing!!! Thumbs up from me but I'm very sure some of you will find it rather boring...

Snowflake vs Grandmom Desserts

I'm very sure those living in 'Kuala Lumpur' and 'Selangor' had tried 'Snowflake' dessert at least once... Whether you like it or not is another issue but most likely you will like it and this applies to me as well... I'm a sucker for 'Snowflake' most famous dessert which unfortunately I can't remember the name... What I know is you have a bowl full of shaved ice with grass jelly or better known as 'cin cau' top with taro and a small quantity of coconut milk if I'm not wrong...

Ever since 'Snowflake' invaded 'Malaysia' you can see lots of other dessert shop selling almost the same thing trying to get a piece of the pie as well!!! So today my job is to see whether the contender is able to dethrone 'Snowflake'... The name of the contender is 'Grandmom Desserts'!!! Frankly speaking, the name is not as catchy as 'Snowflake' but we'll see...

Currently, only one shop is available and they are operating somewhere near 'Setapak'... If you are a student from 'TAR College', I'm very sure you know where it is located... Not really difficult to find but you need to open your eyes wide because the shop is located a floor up!!!

As for 'Snowflake', I guess I don't have to list out where they are located because they are located almost everywhere now!!!

Anyone wanna take a guess on these two bowl of desserts??? Which is from 'Grandmom Desserts' and which is from 'Snowflake'... If you are a huge fans of 'Snowflake', I'm very sure you know the answer because there is one dead giveaway...

The one on top is from 'Grandmom Desserts' and the bottom one is from 'Snowflake'... The dead giveaway that I'm talking about is the taro... Take a good look... 'Snowflake' serves their taro in two different colours whereas 'Grandmom Desserts' got three colours... Besides the taro everything else looks exactly the same!!!

Although both uses the same bowl, it is 'Snowflake' that offer more in terms of quantity as it can be clearly seen from the pictures... But it cost more... RM6.90 for 'Snowflake' and RM5.50 for 'Grandmom Desserts'... Depending on how you look at it... A smaller bowl that cost RM1.40 cheaper to buy or a bigger bowl that cost more??? I will choose a bigger bowl for sure but if the price difference is quite substantial then I will choose the cheaper one... I will call this round a draw...

What is more important than taste when it comes to reviewing food??? None I guess as this is the most important aspect... I won't beat around the bush and I will tell you which came out victorious!!! The winner is 'Grandmom Desserts'!!! Surprise??? You won't be surprise if you get to taste 'Grandmom Desserts' best seller...

First of, the taro is soooooooooooooo much nicer!!! After eating 'Grandmom Desserts' taro, 'Snowflake's' taro tasted hmmmm rather tasteless!!! No joke... Secondly, although 'Snowflake's' shaved ice is smoother, but it does not taste as good as 'Grandmom Desserts'... For me, there is no comparison between these two as we got a clear winner right from the very beginning...

'GRANDMOM DESSERTS' : 1                 'SNOWFLAKE' : 0

Both these shops are so similar that they are using the same system!!! You can call these as 'wireless waiter' or 'beeping UFO', but they are essentially the same!!!

These are some of the desserts sold at 'Grandmom Desserts'...

Avoid Kheng Soon Service Centre If You Drives A Peugeot!!!

Do you know which is the most FUCKED UP car service centre in 'Kuala Lumpur' and 'Selangor'??? Don't worry as I got the answer!!! Please don't be surprise if I tell you that it is not 'Proton' although the company starts with the letter 'P' as well... Yup that's right is 'Peugeot's' service centre (not all 'Peugeot' service centre!!!)...

This time I will be more specified about the name of the service centre... It is 'Kheng Soon Service Sdn Bhd' located at 'Jalan Chan Sow Lin'... There is valid reason for me to criticize this particular service centre... If you read my previous blog post regarding my '308 Turbo', I'm very sure you know that I'm facing some problems with parts availability... Well the good news is the part that I'm waiting for have arrived (panoramic roof blind)... Yesterday, one of the service advisor from this shitty service centre called me and informed me that the part that I'm waiting for had arrived and I can go over to their place this morning in order to get it fix... So both of us are damn happy because without the blind, we are basically sun tanning in the car and not forgetting looking like a complete idiot driving without the blind in our 'Malaysian' weather...

So I reached there around 10.00am and happily greet one of the service advisor... But the word that came out from his mouth shocked me!!! He said I didn't have any appointment with them and I was told to go home instead!!! I was like WTF is going on here... You guys asked me to drop by this morning but suddenly you told me that I wasn't supposed to be there... Frankly speaking, I wanted to kick myself in the butt because I forgot to ask who am I talking to yesterday!!! If I got his name, I'm very sure I can screwed him 'kao kao'!!!

This is not the first time these things happen... In fact a few months ago, my '308 Turbo' decided to have a flat battery (this is the second time)... As I usually service my car at this bloody service centre, the first place I called to will be them... They told me that they have existing stock and I can sent my car over... So I arranged for a tow truck and before we starts our journey, I called them again to double confirm and this time they told me that they DON'T have any stock on hand... This happened on a Saturday and they are working half day... And to make matter worse, the tow truck reached our place around 11 something and they are closing at 12 something... So I got no choice but to call 'Glenmarie' service centre... Luckily they allow us to drop our car and they are willing to wait for us... So do you know why I'm so pissed off at them??? Because I got screwed not once but twice by the very same service centre call 'Kheng Soon'...

Moral of the story is, please know who you are talking to when dealing with scums like these because they are damn good 'Tai Chi' player... They just push everything off like this didn't even happen!!!

Lotus Evora IPS

Two weeks ago, I had the privileged to test drive one of the latest car from 'Lotus'... The 'Evora IPS'... 'Lotus' is a company that specializes in light weight sports and GT car which emphasize more in handling and balance rather than outright performance... If you are power hungry, you can basically forget about 'Lotus' because most of their car is not really that powerful...

So what does 'IPS' stands for??? 'IPS' stands for 'Intelligent Precision Shift' which in layman terms, automatic gearbox!!! This is the only 'Evora' that comes with an automatic gearbox... All the other variants comes with a manual gearbox including the more powerful 'S' model that comes with a supercharger to boost up the horsepower and torque... Essentially the 'IPS' model is the same as the lower model that comes equip with manual gearbox...

If looks is what you are after, I'm very sure that the 'Evora' will stir things up a bit... Not the prettiest but definitely able to turn a few heads... For me, 'Exige' looks much better!!! The 'Evora' looks more grown up and more suitable for mature people...

Only 'Evora' lettering... 'IPS' no where to be seen...

L     O     T     U     S

Centrally mounted twin exhaust that looks menacing but fails to deliver!!! The engine sound is muted to a sense that it sounds just like any sedan you found on our roads... Really disappointed with these pipes!!! If I own this 'Evora', the first thing that I'm going to change is definitely the exhaust...

Currently, 'Lotus' uses 'Toyota' engine in all their cars so obviously the same goes for the 'Evora'... The 'Evora IPS' uses a 3.5 liter naturally aspirated engine from the 'Toyota Camry'... Power is rated at 276bhp and torque at 350Nm... Coincidentally, the rated power is the same as my 'FrankenBenz' equip 'Toyota 1JZ-GTE' engine!!! 276bhp with a slightly higher torque at 363Nm...

Unfortunately, the 'Evora' is much faster in terms of acceleration because of the weight difference between my 'FrankenBenz' and the 'Evora'... The weight of the 'Evora' is around 1382kg whereas my 'FrankenBenz' weights in at around 1890kg!!! That's more than 500kg difference!!! So my 'FrankenBenz' will definitely won't be able to outrun an 'Evora' in a sprint competition!!!

The 'Evora' uses a four pot caliper setup on the front and rear which is more than capable of stopping the car thanks to the light weight design of the car... So now you know why racing cars strip out all the unnecessary things that will add in more weight to the car... The lighter the car, the better it will perform!!! This theory doesn't applies to acceleration and stopping of the car... It affects the handling as well... A lighter car will definitely out handle a much heavier car!!!

 Forged alloy!!! Stronger yet lighter!!!

Very nice interior but fit and finish can be improve... At this price range, the fit and finish is not up to par in my opinion... The 'Evora' is basically a 2 seater although it is actually a 2 + 2 seater... The reason for this is because the rear seat is a joke!!! Normally I like to call these seat as 'DOG seat' but the rear seat of the 'Evora' is not even eligible for the title!!! Even children won't be able to get comfortable in... Credits to my darling as she manage to squeeze herself in!!!

How I wish this key belongs to me!!!

So how does this thing goes??? Here's some of my thoughts after driving it... The acceleration is definitely much better compare to my 'FrankenBenz'... You can really feels the G force when you are accelerating!!! But I believe the 'Evora' won't be able to outrun an 'E36 BMW' with '1JZ-GTE' up front because the weight difference is not significant...

For me, a 'Lotus' car is not about outright speed or how many seconds it will take to hit 100km/h (if you need to know, around 5.2 seconds to 100km/h)... It is the handling that is important... People buy 'Lotus' because of its ability to out handle almost every car on the road... I'm really impress with the handling of the 'Evora IPS'... Although this is a sports GT, the ride is almost limousine like!!! The suspension is taut but definitely not hard and the ride is magic carpet smooth!!! Virtually no roll at all when you attack the corner... I really can't explain how they manage to do this... Normally if you want to eliminate roll, you need to compromise on ride comfort... The car will be hard and bouncing everywhere... If you want comfort, the car will roll when you attack a corner and the ride will definitely be boat like!!! How on earth they manage to do this is beyond me!!! Besides that, the car feels really direct and the steering is really slack free... Turn the steering 1mm and the wheels will follow exactly!!! Car is very neutral without the feeling of understeer or oversteer... Or maybe I didn't push the car hard enough??? So now you know why 'Proton' cars handle so well!!!

Surprisingly, the automatic gearbox does not hamper the performance... The shift is not the fastest but it is definitely fuss free and the +/- paddle is a joy to use... In full auto mode, the car drives just like any other auto car... What I really like about the 'Evora IPS' is when you are using the paddle for gear changing, it will not change gear for you even when you hit the rev limiter... This is what I like on an auto car with manual override...

Once you are gunning for it, the engine note turns up a notch and this is a much welcome thing if you ask me... Too quiet during idling!!! The power delivery is typical naturally aspirated with the powerband at a much higher RPM... But with 350Nm, the 'Evora IPS' is rather happy to cruise along even at 2,000 RPM... You don't have to change down a gear if you don't wish to as the amount of torque is able to propel the car forward... For me, change down is a must when you are in the mood as the engine note intensified and the car lunges forward with much more enthusiasm...

Overall I'm really happy to be able to test drive the car... But I really wish to take it up 'Genting' in order to fully appreciate the handling of the car... Thanks to my uncle for making my dream comes true!!!

Nasi Lemak 2.0

Walao EH!!! Sibeh song arh!!! Walao EH!!! That's what actually happened after watching this movie... If you are a Malaysian, chances of knowing who 'Namewee' is are actually pretty high... I know there are a lot of Malaysian who hated him but you can consider me as one of his fans... Frankly speaking, I find him really talented... Just listen to his songs and you know what I mean... Besides that, he got a really nice vocal as well... I know he's talented in music but I didn't expect him to be talented in directing movie as well so I set my expectation really low as I didn't expect much from this movie... Is a low budget movie, first time movie director and also actor... What do you expect from this??? So setting my expectation real low is the key in order not to leave disappointed...

But boy I was blown away by 'Nasi Lemak 2.0'... This is by far the BEST local made film if you ask me... This is not a simple movie (there are a lot of hidden messages waiting to be discover)... Some of you might think that this is a normal comedy but you are wrong... You are right about the comedy part but this is NOT any normal comedy... You need to understand what 'Namewee' is trying to portray in this movie and quite frankly it is not really hard to decipher (unlike those found in 'Dan Brown's books)... This movie is about Malaysia and the people that live in this very country... Very patriotic if you ask me and definitely something our 'Prime Minister' will be very proud of because this movie brings out the whole meaning of '1 Malaysia'!!!

So this proves that you don't need a lot of $$$ or fancy equipment (they are using Canon 5D Mark II DSLR to film this movie!!!) to make a movie enjoyable... Just the right script and a meaningful storyline are more than enough to make this movie a FIRST CLASS movie!!! Two thumbs up for 'Nasi Lemak 2.0!!!

p.s. Still scratching my head on why our government didn't provide any support on this movie??? Arhhhh I think I knows the answer... You know I know la!!! Malaysia Boleh mah... Apa-apa pun BOLEH!!!

Yesterday was my darling's birthday... As usual nothing special (I know I'm bored)... We went out for movie and 'makan-makan'... But for me, nothing beats home cook meal especially for someone special!!! So I decided to cook her dinner on her BIG day...

Nothing fancy here... Grilled chicken breast with Black Forest Bratwurst... Marinated the chicken breast with some salt, pepper and rosemary... In my opinion, rosemary goes really well with grilled chicken...

Ta-dah!!! Signature grilled chicken breast with black forest bratwurst + garden salad with Romano sauce!!! No gravy needed for the chicken breast as the meat itself is super tender and not forgetting juicy!!! Cooked to perfection if you ask me... :)  Okay enough self praise!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING!!!
Hope you like the dinner!!!

If you still remember, a while ago I've posted a blog post called 'Stranded' and this blog post is something like a follow up.....

Overheating 1JZ-GTE!!!

If you still remember, a while ago I've posted a blog post called 'Stranded' and this blog post is something like a follow up... Although this happened a few months ago, only until recently my car is back to normal without any hiccup... Touch wood!!!

Let me refresh your mind if you can't remember or don't know what really happened that unfortunate day... I was left stranded on the 'North-South Highway' somewhere near 'Seremban'... My engine fan actually hit the radiator and causes a massive hole and the best part is I don't know when it actually happen... I didn't hear any sound (maybe because of me blasting my sound system???) nor feels anything wrong with my car until detonation occur... When I stop my car I can see that the temperature is sky high but I didn't get panic at the moment... The moment I got panic is when I open the bonnet... Water is everywhere... It even drips from the bonnet!!! The whole engine compartment is wet!!!

A quick check at the radiator and I know what actually happened... There's a BIG hole on the top left side of the radiator and besides that, I found the engine fan blade broke in several places... I can still use back the fan temporary but not the radiator... It need to be fix before I can put in anymore water...

Ok these pics show the aftermath of what happened that day... As you can clearly see the whole engine compartment is in a mess... Rusty water all over the engine bay...

Is a bit hard to see the broken fan but it is broken in several places... At least 3 of the blades are broken...

Luckily I managed to get my radiator fix and got my car moving... But this was not the end of it... For the past few months, I've been having overheating problem with my car... Sent my car to a few workshop for diagnosis and change a few things but still I can't get it fix...

I've change my original fan to an electric fan not once but twice!!! The first one is not powerful enough to cool down the engine... There's no point changing back to the original one because this will surely happen again as the fan is very near to the radiator... Is just a matter or time... Electric fan solve my problem temporary but still I'm losing water... Between these few months, I've sent my radiator for repair at least 3 to 4 times because of leakage... In the meantime, I'm also searching for a new aluminium radiator for my 'FrankenBenz' and trust me, it is not an easy task (will blog about the aluminium radiator in my future blog post)... After changing to a new aluminium radiator, I'm still losing water... This time I know that the cost of repairing will be high... Since this is a new radiator, the chances of it leaking is really low... So I know that the water must be going through the gasket and this means that I got myself a blown head gasket... I know '1JZ-GTE' is one tough engine but this does not mean that it is indestructible!!! Blown head gasket rarely happen to '1JZ-GTE' because it comes with metal gasket... So I blame myself for this!!!

So what happens after changing a new head gasket??? Problem solve!!! No more overheating problem and I don't have to top up water everyday!!!

To be continue...

I promised my darling to cut down on fast food and damn it was hard... Luckily she didn't insist on 'NO FAST FOOD' policy because that will surely make my life miserable!!! I know too much fast food is definitely not good for health so I'm trying my best to get a compromise here...

In my opinion, I believe you can't categorize 'GCB' as unhealthy because of the way they cooked it... The chicken thigh is grilled and not fried and I'm sure that grilled is much better than fried!!! At least I don't feel sinful when taking a BIG bite out of it unlike 'Spicy Chicken McDeluxe'!!!

I still remember the first time 'McD' decided to launch the 'GCB' and frankly speaking I'm not a BIG fans of it... But I know a lot of people like it very much... I guessed people tend to change because the second time they launched it, I'm really loving it!!! But not as much as my all time favourite, the 'BIG Mac' and 'Spicy Chicken McDeluxe'... The impression this time is definitely much much better... No explanation for that!!!

I used to order large set everytime but nowadays medium will do just fine... The reason for this is not because I can't finish it... The main reason is to cut down on fries... I loved fries a lot and I know this is what makes you fat and my darling is complaining about the spare tyre that I got around my belly!!! So I got no other choice but to downsize the set... Another thing is changing normal 'Coke' to 'Coke Light/Diet Coke'... But recently I heard a lot of rumours regarding these calories free drinks... These drinks contain 'aspartame' and it is said to be harmful to human... Not sure how true is this but for the time being, I will still stick to 'Coke Light/Diet Coke' because I find normal 'Coke' way tooooooo sweet for me!!! Besides that, I'm trying to be vain as well... Keeping my belly in check!!!

A note for 'McD Malaysia'... Can you please reintroduce 'Chicken and Beef Foldover'??? I'm really craving for it!!! Besides that, my darling love it very much and it will definitely make my life easier... I hope you know what I mean!!! ;)

Brand Loyalty No More

I pride myself to be a very loyal person... This does not only applies to those I love but things as well... If I like the particular brand, I will stick to it... I will not change even when the products are inferior compare to others found on the market... Besides that, I will try to defend it if someone tries to talk bad about it... That's how far I will go when I'm in love with the brand!!!

Take 'Sony' for example... I like the brand a lot... So you can see that I'm using their DSLR... Same goes for my LCD TV and some other appliances... So those brand that I love, you are in luck!!! But there are times that I dislike the brand and this is really bad because once I dislike the brand, that's it... That's the end of our relationship... I'm those love it or hate it kind of guy... Seldom in between...

So looking at the title, I'm very sure you know what this blog post is all about... Yeap that's right... I'm boycotting a particular brand... Wanna know which brand and thing that I'm talking about??? It is non other than our beloved 'Pug'... I'm really sick of it... Please don't get me wrong... It is an awesome car but those in-charge of bringing in the car is the one to blame... If you follow my blog, you will know that our '308 Turbo' is giving us lots of problems (universally known that 308 Turbo have lots of problems)... The latest one is the canvas that cover the panoramic roof decides to play hide and seek with us... Disappearing for no reason... Ask the service center and they said the canvas 'koyak'!!! WTH...

Problems are frustrating but you know what beats it??? When there is no replacement parts in Malaysia!!! When there is something wrong with my 'Pug', the only thing that I hear coming out from the service center is "need to diagnose it first"... Ok, no problem with that... The next thing they said will be need to change certain part... Again no problem with that... The following thing that they said is the one I hated most... "No parts... Need to order from France and the waiting time will be no less than 3 weeks!!!"...

If you ask me, it just don't make any business sense... 'Nasim' which is a subsidiary of 'Naza' is selling 'Peugeot' like hot cakes now but what about after sales service??? None if you ask me... Everything also need to wait... I'm very sure they know about the common problems found on the 308 Turbo but why can't they just bring in some spare parts just in case??? Always asking the customers to wait is a BIG no no if you ask me and I know a lot of people are getting frustrated with 'Peugeot' now and 'Nasim' you better do something about it before you lose all your existing and potential customers... And you know what, if someone ask me whether is it wise to buy 'Peugeot', I will ask them to look away in order to avoid any hassle in the near future...

After using the 'Peugeot' for 2 years, I'm on the verge of giving up on the car... Again not because of the problems that it makes but the people in- charge of bringing in the cars that are to blame... Shame on you 'Nasim'...

p.s. I'm still waiting for my fucking turbocharger to arrive!!!

Change both front tyres recently due to one of it decided to be bloated!!! The tyre swollen to a state that it is almost impossible to drive as the car is virtually riding on pogo stick!!! Besides that, I'm really scare that the tyre might blow up... I have the privileged to encounter a blown tyre and I don't wish that to happen again...

The previous tyres are 235 series and I decided to change it to 225 series as it keeps scrubbing my fender... But sadly, 225 series can't eliminate this problem entirely... There is still some fender scrubbing but it is definitely not as bad as before... Some improvement I guess... Before this I'm on 'Goodyear' tyre and this time round I decided to try 'Dunlop'... The model of the tyre is 'Direzza DZ101' which is consider as a performance oriented tyre... I believe it is really important to get a better tyre rather than other things as tyres are the only contact you have on the road...

Just a few days ago my rear tyre decided to be bloated just like those on the front some time back!!! I still have around 70% of tread and again I'm force to change!!! Since I dislike mixing and matching different tyre manufacturer and model, my rear tyre is going to be 'Dunlop Direzza DZ101' as well... Besides that, I'm opting for a slimmer rear tyre as well... The previous one is 265 series and the new one is 255 series... I got better luck with the rear tyre as I didn't notice any scrubbing now... That's really good news to me...

I don't have the time to test out the new tyres yet but initial thoughts are the tyres are quieter compare to the previous one... Steering feel is also better... If the new tyres decide to be bloated again, I think I'm gonna downgrade it to 17" as the price of the tyres is really killing me!!! The cost of 4 tyres can almost get me another 'Toyota 1JZ-GTE' engine for my 'FrankenBenz'!!!

To be continue...
