Since I lost all my 'Project FrankenBenz' pics, I've been really lazy to blog about the progress of the project because I need to search the net for the all the pictures that I need!!!

This modification is a really tough one if you ask because the W124 engine bay will not fit a original 'Toyota 1JZ-GTE' radiator... So what the workshop did was to modified the original 'Toyota' radiator to fit in the 'W124' engine bay... Since the last incident where I blown my head gasket, my radiator gave me a lot of problems... The radiator keep leaking and no matter how I repair, it will still leaked and it was really beyond repair...

Aluminium radiator is the way to go because of the extra cooling ability and not forgetting 'bling bling' factor!!! The only problem that I need to face is to find one that can be fitted into the engine bay without any modification... All the hoses inlet need to be in the correct place... The first radiator that I tried was from 'Nissan S14 Silvia'... All the inlet and outlet hoses were in the correct place but when I took it back, I realized that the intercooler hose came into contact with the upper hose and I don't intend to change to another intercooler piping... So off the 'Nissan Silvia S14' aluminium radiator... Looking at the dimension another aluminium radiator that can be fix into my 'W124' was from 'Mitsubishi Evo 3'... The height of the 'Mitsubishi Evo 3' aluminium radiator was a tad shorter for my liking... But the width was spot on!!! Unfortunately, the top inlet hoses was on the wrong side!!! But my mechanic told me that he can modified so I stick to the 'Mitsubishi Evo 3' one as I'm really lazy to change it again!!!

After changing to a aluminium radiator, the temperature stay at a constant 80 degree Celsius as compare to the normal 85 to 90 degree Celsius... If you ask me, I will definitely recommend this mod to those who wants to lower down their car temperature... This is a very good investment for me... After replacing the head gasket and radiator, my overheating problem is no longer a problem for me!!!

To be continue...

Here's the Christmas decoration at 'KLCC' and you can definitely spot the difference between this and 'Pavilion'... I went there on a Sunday and the whole mall was jammed pack but the amount of people taking photographs with the decoration were actually quite limited...

In my opinion, you can't really compare this decoration with the one at 'Pavilion' as it would be like comparing a 'Fuji' apple with a normal apple!!! 'Pavilion' is in a different league of it's own!!!

 Say hello to 'Santa'!!!

Not much decoration elsewhere...

Normally when we shop at 'Pavilion', the most upper floor is the one that we skip... In our opinion, we really don't see the point of going all the way up to the floor where there are nothing to see... We don't know what got into us the last time we went 'Pavilion' because we did went all the way up where we thought this must be the silliest things to do... Instead we got a really BIG surprised!!! Everything's different... It felt like both of us got a concussion and all our memory being wiped clean because all the things in front of us were totally different from what we used to remember!!! Besides that, they even gave a beautiful name to it... 'Tokyo Street'...

All the shops there are either selling 'Japanese' stuff or 'Japanese' food... By looking at the name, we are not surprise at all... But I must admit, all the 'Japanese' restaurant there looks awesome... Will definitely try it out the next time I'm in 'Pavilion'...

Since we just had lunch, the only thing that I can make it go down my stomach is something light... 'The Loaf' need no introduction as there is another shop a few floors below... However, this particular kiosk serve only one kind or bread which unfortunately I don't know what it's call... But you can rest assure that it is some 'Japanese' kind of bread...

Looks lovely...

'Bolognaise' for me and 'Green Tea' for my darling... The one shown above is 'Bolognaise' and sorry I don't have a pic for the 'Green Tea'... 'Green Tea' tasted just okay but the 'Bolognaise' is superb... I really like the flavour of it... RM2.90 for a piece... If you are sick of eating doughnut, maybe you can give this a try...

 Huge 'Tokyo Street' lantern!!!

Don't really know what happen but there are a lot of people in front of 'Ode To Art'...

Ah... 'The Twilight Saga - Breaking Dawn (Part 1)'... Since I've watched all the other installments, I've no choice but to watch this one as well... But damn, I really regretted going for the movie... It was damn boring... I don't know whether the book is as boring as the movie or not... Guess I just need to buy the book and finish reading it as soon as possible in order to find out!!! If you're not a die hard 'Twilight' fans like me, don't go for the movie!!!

Here it is... My old school mountain bike!!! My 'GT Pantera' started life in year 1997... After doing some research, I can confirm that it was from year 1997 because of the front shock... 'Rock Shox' launches the 'Indy' series in year 1997 and my bike came with a 'Indy XC' hence I can confirm the date it was born... Not bad for a 14 years old bike... Everything still intact and running smoothly...

Last week I send my bike for some maintenance on both the front and back derailleurs... The shifters got jam up and I'm thinking of replacing the cables but the trusty bicycle shop managed to fix it without breaking a sweat!!! (sorry about the dirty chain!!! will degrease it when I'm free!!!)

Perfect shifting now!!! Both my front and back derailleurs are from 'Shimano'... Sadly the model (Shimano STX-RC) had been long discontinued...

Besides fixing my derailleurs, I asked them to true my wheel as well since the back one was way out of true!!! Both rims are straight now and the brake pad have stop rubbing the rims... Finally!!!

The only problem that I have with my bike right now is the 'Rock Shox' front suspension... The damping is way too soft and totally no rebound!!! So when I'm riding, the 'Rock Shox' seems more like a rigid fork to me... Anyway I've been toying with this idea... Replace the front suspension with a carbon fiber rigid fork!!! I know a lot of you will said a mountain bike suppose to have at least a front suspension... But I don't really see the point in my case... Because nowadays, I don't go offroad anymore... I'm riding on road now... So what is the point of having a front suspension when it will be totally under utilize!!! Furthermore, do you know how much the front suspension weight??? HEAVY compare to a carbon fiber rigid fork!!!

But finding one with 'Vee brake' mount is going to be tough as almost all mountain bike gone disc!!! Not going the disc route as I find them really heavy... a 'Vee brake' is so much lighter in comparison... Again I don't go offroad and I'm not going to ride in the rain so I believe I don't really need the extra stopping power of the disc...

Change my brake pad as well... The old one was all worn out!!!

Another 'Publika' post... Please bear with me cause I'm really in love with 'Publika'!!! One of the most artistic shopping complex that I have ever step foot in...

Seems like the display is always changing... I'm very sure this was not around the last time I went... This makes 'Publika' even cooler and not forgetting more pictures for me...

As most of you know, last weekend 'PIKOM' is having it's usual 'PC Fair' in 'Kuala Lumpur Convention Center' which is just right next to 'KLCC'... This is the last of the 'PC Fair' for year 2011!!! Since my buddy is busy with it's own business nowadays, I didn't ask him out as I know he will be busy during the weekend... So I ask my darling to tag along...

The reason for us going to 'PC Fair' was...... errr I also don't really know the purpose... Maybe for some photo taking??? Yeah that's the original plan I supposed... But when we reached 'Kuala Lumpur Convention Center', I don't really feel like taking pictures!!! I have no idea what got into me... Still, I whipped out my trusty 'DSLR' and snapped some pictures...

Since I don't really have the mood, we just walked around aimlessly... In fact, we were searching for the exit where we can leave 'PC Fair' and maybe do some window shopping at 'KLCC'... Suddenly something caught our attention...

It was 'DiGi' booth... They were having promotions for android phone and we decided to take a peek...(I'm thinking of joining android camp nowadays after reading up some reviews)... Wow they were promoting 'Samsung Galaxy SII' and the plan looked really tempting... RM1199 for the phone if you signed up for their data plan... I know their data plan sucks sometimes but it is really cheap... 3GB data plan cost RM48 per month instead of the usual RM68... My darling decided to sign up the plan and she got herself a white 'Samsung Galaxy SII'!!! (I'm still waiting for 'Samsung Galaxy Nexus' or maybe 'Samsung Galaxy Note' or even 'Motorola Droid Razr')...

I really hate to admit that I dislike 'Samsung' phones!!! I hated it because I find the build quality really cheap... Too plasticky for my liking... But you know what, the phone actually grew on me... The more I touched it, the more I liked it!!! Another thing that I must admit, 'ANDROID' was just plain awesome!!! My next phone will definitely be an android phone!!!

Okay, these are the pictures that I took that day.. Only four in total!!! Using my 'Sigma 50mm F1.4 for all these shots... All these pictures were taken at F1.4 except the last one and I'm really happy with the performance of the lens... Sharp even wide open and really nice bokeh!!! Enjoy...

This was taken at F3.5 if I'm not mistaken...

Every year during 'Christmas' time, remember to bring along your camera when you're going to 'Pavilion'... I assure you won't leave disappointed!!! This must be one of the best 'Christmas' decoration in 'Malaysia'!!!

This year's theme... 'Christmas Wonderland'!!! I find the theme spot on because everybody is enjoying it... Kids enjoying the 'Merry-Go-Round' while adults enjoying taking pictures or being taken or even cam-whoring!!!

The structural design of 'Pavilion' makes the decoration grander and in my opinion, no matter how much effort the other shopping complexes put in, they can't really compete with 'Pavilion'...

This year 'Pavilion' decided to include a 'Merry-Go-Round' which is a godsend for the kids!!!

Lets see what the others shopping complexes can come up with... I've been to 'KLCC' and I'm sad to say that the decoration sucks... I don't even bother to take pictures of it... Next stop should be 'Gardens' or 'One Utama'!!! Or maybe 'Publika'???
