Right after the 'Lorong Selamat Char Koay Teow', we went searching for the famous 'Penang Road Teochew Chendol'... Once there we were greeted by hordes of people lining besides the road side waiting for their 'chendol'...

A word of caution because there were two 'chendol' stalls there... But fret not... You won't miss the famous one because there were a lot of people while the other stall was not really packed...

The 'chendol's' really good!!! One of the best actually... No wonder it was so famous... The only gripe that I had was the lack of shaved ice... If they put in more, then it would be perfect!!! RM1.80 for a bowl...

Finally I had the opportunity to try out the very famous 'char koay teow' from 'Lorong Selamat'... The shop was packed to the brim which was not really surprising... If the shop was deserted then I guessed it would be more surprising to me...

We waited for around half an hour for our 'char koay teow'... I opted the most expensive one which I though would be a bit more special compared to the others but I'm so wrong... The only difference was there were 2 more prawns!!! But BIG one nevertheless...

RM9.00 for this!!! Frankly speaking, I believed it was a bit overpriced...

BIG succulent prawns...

RM6.50, RM7.00 and finally RM9.00!!!

This was the famous auntie in the red cap which was also famous for being arrogant, grumpy and hot tempered!!!

Looked at all the prawns...

I find this 'char koay teow' much nicer than those in KL... I'm really enjoying it... But I definitely won't order the most expensive one next time round... RM7.00 is more than enough for me as I don't really fancy prawns... Highly recommended and it is a MUST eat food when you're in Penang!!!

We purposely drove all the way to Batu Ferringhi just to see the new 'Hard Rock Hotel'... We were really unlucky because it was raining very heavily that day... So only indoor pictures were available while exterior picture was a mission impossible on that day!!!

The hotel was really packed that day and I guessed it was because of public holiday... I'm not so sure about weekdays though... Actually the hotel looks a bit small but it sure looks nice... Hopefully my next trip to Penang will see me staying at 'Hard Rock Hotel'... I don't mind if it is just one night!!! At least better than nothing... :)

If my memory served me right, I watched the original 'Karate Kid' which debuted in year 1984 before... I've notice a lot of people likes to remake classics movie nowadays... But fortunately, 'The Karate Kid' lives up to the hype in my opinion unlike 'Nightmare on Elm Street'...

First thing first, this movie is really hilarious and 'Jaden Smith' is really good... Actually I won't doubt about his ability when you know who his parents are!!! As for the storyline it is straight to the point... If this movie is film without all the humour, then I guess it won't be this good... In my opinion, the funny stuff really works here... Throw in some friendship and love and you got a real winner here...

Highly recommended!!!

If you ask any Malaysian what beverage is famous in Ipoh and chances of them saying 'white coffee' is really high... Indeed Ipoh is really famous for their 'white coffee'... So what is so special about 'white coffee'??? From what I know, the difference is the way they prepare the coffee beans... 'White coffee' is roasted in pure margarine while the normal coffee is roasted in a combinations of other ingredients... For those who likes coffee I'm very sure you will notice the difference between 'white coffee' and the normal one serve in coffee shops... I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't comment much on this...

From what I know, this particular restaurant was really famous for its 'white coffee' (forget about Old Town!!!)... In fact it was one of the pioneer in serving 'white coffee'... The restaurant was really packed when we reached there... Once my darling took a sip, she's in haven... Really nice according to her... I took a sip as well and I must admit it was good... But I still preferred my 'teh ice'!!! :)

My 'teh ice' or 'ice tea'... Very nice as well...

We saw a lot of peoples buying egg tarts and according to some of my friends, they said that the egg tart was famous as well... So we bought 2 to try it out...

I'm really shocked actually... The egg tarts was really bad!!! If you ask me, it was the worse that I had ever tasted... Really disappointed with it...

Overall Rating - 4/5 for the drinks & 1.5/5 for the egg tart
