What's more satisfying than having ice cream in cold weather??? My answer is nothing... Nothing beats eating ice cream in extreme weather... You know in Malaysia it is impossible to eat ice cream in icy cold weather (unless you eat ice cream while sitting in front of the air-con blasting away... and not forgetting one must be sitting naked in front of the air-con) so it is a norm for both of us to search for ice cream whenever we go traveling in cold places... Ma ma mia!!! That's just heavenly...

I wanted to update this post for a very long time but don't know why I just keep on delaying this post... Been to this restaurant a few months back... So by right I should update this a few months earlier!!! Restaurant SY is one of the newest restaurant in Batu Pahat and I've heard some good review on one of their specialty and decided to check it out... Their specialty is call 'Over Bridge Pork Ribs'...

I don't know what to call this... But I didn't try it out because I hate starchy food!!! But according to my darling, this dish is not bad at all...

One of their specialty and the main reason I'm there... 'Over Bridge Pork Ribs'... The gravy is kinda special... Some curry and buttery taste in it and not forgetting a bit spicy... I find it OK only... Nothing to shout about... So actually I'm a bit disappointed in it... But the meat itself is nicely cook and the presentation of the food is worth mentioning...

One of their specialty as well... Tofu with some mince vege in it... Quite nice...

Very normal fried chicken...

Fried brinjal top with pork floss... I like this dish the most...

'Seoraksan' also known as 'Mount Sorak' is the highest mountain in the 'Taebaek' mountain range in 'Gangwon' province in South Korea... It is located in a national park near the city of 'Sokcho'... After the 'Hallasan' volcano oo Jeju Island (we miss this because of the weather) and 'Jirisan' in the south, 'Mount Sorak' is the third highest mountain in South Korea... The 'Taebaek' mountain chain is often considered the backbone of Korean Peninsular...

I've heard a lot of people saying that 'Mount Sorak' is a very good place for landscape photography and I'm really excited and really looking forward to visit 'Mount Sorak'... Now here comes my problem... We reach 'Mount Sorak' really late that day... I guess we are the only tourists going into the national park while all the other tourists are on their way out... I didn't know that we need to walk all the way in and it took us almost close to 15-20 minutes just to reach the main entrance and to make matter worse, I didn't bring my flash gun along and it is getting dark real quick...

A massive bear statue that greet us once we reach the main entrance...

Walk further in and you will be greeted by a giant statue... This statue is call the 'Bronze Buddha of Sinheungsa'... As we are really rushing for time, we didn't stay too long... Just snap a few photos and continue to walk to our next destination...

Our last destination of the day... A temple... But I don't really know what temple it is...

We really miss out a lot of other attractions in 'Mount Sorak'!!! But we didn't blame anyone... Guess is just our luck...

Today marks a very special day in my calender... 18th of March 2007 is the day both me and my darling got engaged... So obviously we went out for dinner tonight... Time flies!!! In a blink of an eye, we are actually engage for 3 years...

Nothing fancy just a simple dinner and we decided to go somewhere near and less traffic... Desa Parkcity becomes the obvious venue... We walked around and decided to have Japanese food... We eaten Rakuzen before but not in Desa Parkcity...

My darling's udon set...

California roll that comes together with my darling's udon set... The set cost RM38... I find the price acceptable because the portion is quite big...

This is mine... Unagi set... RM38 also...

Since both of us are super duper full, we didn't order any dessert...

HAPPY 3 YEARS ANNIVERSARY TO BOTH OF US!!!
