This time round, I didn't opt to use back original brake pad from 'Peugeot'... Since the original one wears out easily, I decided to give some other brand a try and not forgetting saving some hard earned cash as well... 'Valeo' is one of the biggest OE manufacturer around so I presume that the quality is on par with the original one...
After bedding in the brake pad, I'm amaze with the stopping power from the new 'Valeo' brake pad... The brake quality is actually on par with the original one and the best part is both front and back 'Valeo' brake pad cost less than the front original brake pad alone!!! Crazy right but is true... The only drawback is the spongy feel of the brake pedal... But this occur even when I use the original brake pad... The only thing I can do to eliminate this is change to steel braided hose... But let's just wait till the warranty period is over!!!

i came back from peugeot service center very upset. My car only 30,000km and still under warranty. It is not even 2 years old.
I was told to change the brake pad, and the brake disc as well???
Can i say for peugeot 308turbo you need to change the brake disc same time we change the brake pad???
Brake pad is designed to worn out but the disc?? And they said i have to pay for the disc???i
If the answer still yes that it is designed that way and i have to pay for it, i want to say it is the lousiest brake engineering design and the consumer should not be fooled of the design deficiencies.
where can i channel this complaint?....

frankly speaking you don't necessarily change the disc rotor together with the brake pad... it depends on the condition of the disc rotor... disc rotor will be worn out over time and it should be replace when it gets too thin... but I believe the disc rotor on your car can still be use as you're only clocking 30,000km... i'm on my third set of brake pad and I'm still using the same disc rotor and my car is clocking near 90,000km... but it is due for replacement soon... one thing I notice is our Peugeot brake pad is not very kind to the disc rotor causing it to thin really fast... but the good part is the braking power from it... so have to give and take on something... good braking performance but need more maintenance on it...
