Their specialty... 'Steamed White Promfret'... Definitely a must order dish...

This year we celebrated 'Father's Day' at one of our favourite restaurant in 'Batu Pahat'... No fancy restaurant for us as we are looking for quality food... So let me introduce you to the magnificent 'Restoran Chor Kee'!!! If you are in 'Batu Pahat' and looking for something to feast on, look no further... Trust me...

Also their specialty... 'Steamed Egg'...

'Fried Chicken'... This is my first time trying this and it tasted okay for me... Nice but not spectacular...

This is definitely my favourite dish... We call it 'Bak Pa' which is 'Hokkien' for 'Pork Chop'... Frankly speaking, I believe I can wallop the whole plate!!! This is also a must order dish!!!

First time trying this tofu as well... Quite nice...

I like their fried fish too... But remember to use black promfret because it tasted much better compare to this fish which I don't really know the name...

All these dishes looked very 'Sarawak' style of cooking except the last dish.

is it??? but i believe Chinese style of cooking is almost the same... so normally how sarawakians cook the last dish???

Chinese style of cooking of coz the same but u see, KL - Cantonese dish are different from our Foochow dish.

Hmph, I didn't know how to explain. By any chance you visit to Sibu, where mostly are Foochow people, you will know the difference. =)

Oh ya, the last dish, we mostly would spread the tomato sauce with pineapple, cucumber and onion on top of the fried fish. Or we just fried the fish then dip with our home made chilli sauce~

yeah you have a point also... actually I just wanted to test you cause I'm sure you can't cook!!! haha...

cheh~ You really tested me because I had to keep digging my brain trying to explain to u in details but I failed. Hahaha....I only remembered the visible ingredients and the outcome of the dishes!

My favourite zhi char stall in BP! I love the steam white pomfret but my hubby's family always order the fried one with tonnes of finely shredded ginger on top, very good as well. The pork chop is a must each time we dine there and can you imagine, the cook himself is actually a vegetarian?

the steam promfret is really nice but the fried one is nice too... pork chop is my favourite among these dishes!!!

wow i didn't know that the cook is vegetarian... so i guess he's really good at what he does...
