One of my favourite actor is back!!! Whenever there's a movie starring Nicholas Cage, I will try to watch it... He never let me down with his awesome acting skill but too bad 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' is only so so in my humble opinion...
The movie is funny no doubt about that but this movie is about sorcerer... It should have more magic element in it... All the magic that the character perform looks really amateurish... Nothing spectacular... Some fire here and some lightning there and that's it and they are going to convince us that this movie is all about sorcerer??? Try harder and you might nail it...
Not a bad movie and still watchable but you definitely won't regret missing it...

the movie has no proper built up.. the apprentice learned his skills so suddenly.. lol.. ok only lah.. =)
Me, my wife n 3 kids were the only ppl laughing in the cinema. It was a full house yet nobody laughed at all. Is it because they dont understand American jokes or is it simply Asian values say not to laugh out loud? Really puzzling. I actually noticed this phenomenon a lot of times already.
We all laughing like hell but the rest of the ppl all staring at us like as if we're mad ppl. LOL. They are the mad ppl la, go see movie so emotionless like zombies.
Morgana just appeared for a while then doomed and she's gone...as I expected to be a long fight in it since Balthazar needs an assistant to help him against the evil~!!!
But overall, not bad...~
Watch out for The Alchemyst: Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel.. Will be out on 2012 though.. HaHa.. XD
Nana - yeah the movie is fun to watch but not really memorable... as usual, cage is just awesome...
ken - totally agree with you... suddenly the apprentice became so 'geng'... not making sense to me...
Ian - the movie is definitely funny and there were a lot of people laughing in the cinema... maybe you were watching with a bunch of ZOMBIES!!!
celestial - in a blink of an eye and she's dead... sort of like an anti climax for me and suddenly the apprentice became so powerful and he manage to kill her and even save cage!!! like i said earlier, not making any sense...
