Korea Day 1 (Korean BBQ Lunch)

Our first meal in Korea... So far so good because it was BBQ... I'm a BIG fan of BBQ... I just love to eat grilled stuff... As usual there were a lot of side dishes and of course it was refillable... The only thing that disappoint me was no beef!!! Can you imagine 'NO BEEF'!!! Pork was the only meat... I had nothing against pork in fact I love them but not as much as beef...

According to our tour guide, beef was really expensive in Korea... In fact pork was the cheapest there... Cheaper than chicken!!!

Eat to my heart content... The pork was also refillable!!!

The side dish but I touched none of it!!! I just don't like it...

Rice!!! One of my must have food... Just take a looked at my body size and you will know why... I'm an official 'fan tong'!!! As usual, the rice was refillable as well...

Vegetables... These were for the pork... Take a vege and placed a piece of pork on top of the vege... Wrapped up the vege and put it into your mouth!!! Hmmmm... Heavenly...

Grilled to perfection!!!

My darling enjoying the lunch...

Overall I'm really satisfied with this meal... The pork and vege were really fresh... The only downside of this meal was we all smelled real bad after we finished eating thanks to all the smoke while BBQ-ing the pork!!!

Korea Day 1 (Cheong Wa Dae)

'Cheong Wa Da'e aka 'House of The Blue Tiled Roof' or 'Blue House' is the executive office and official residence of the South Korean head of state, the President of the Republic of Korea... So it is very obvious where they got the name from... The colour of the roof of course...

We were not allowed to go into the 'Blue House'... So strolling along the path just outside the 'Blue House' was what we can do... It was beautiful and peaceful... Not many cars were seen around there... But there were a lot of police around that area... I guessed this was very normal because someone really important was staying there!!! Besides the police, there were also a lot of tourists and both me and my darling were one of them :)

ENJOY THE PHOTOS...

This is the 'Blue House'...

Korea Day 1 (Ice Gallery)

First destination... 'Ice Gallery'!!! In my mind I was thinking about this... "So nice don't even have to go Harbin and I can experience real ice sculpture"... Actually I wanted to go Harbin instead of Korea but I scare my darling and my concubine (my DSLR) cannot 'tahan'... So decided to go Korea instead... So this was kind of a bonus for me because I always wanted to see ice sculpture... So it was kinda like hitting two birds with one stone!!!

WARNING!!! BLUE PHOTOS BELOW!!!

I was wondering whether anyone really propose in here???

Cute little ice piano...

Merry Christmas!!!

Ice Vodka anyone???

Move over Kimi Raikkonen... The 'REAL' ice man is in da house!!!

My darling was posing besides an igloo... It was all blue so the shape is kinda hard to see...

Ice PC???

Should asked them to upgrade the system to Windows 7... Windows XP is sooooo outdated!!! (But I'm still using it!!!)

Toilet bowl... Try to use it if you dare!!!

Eiffel Tower made entirely out of ice...

My darling tried to stop the Leaning Tower of Pisa from falling!!! Guess she succeeded...

The one in yellow is our tour guide... She's from Korea but she speak fluent Chinese... The other one is the instructor for our very own ice sculpting class... She's speaking very very fast in Korean but none of us can understand... So what is the best way to show us??? I guess you can say action speaks louder than word...

Some of our travel mate...

Our task was to make a mug out of a block of ice...

The main tool for ice sculpting... Presenting the 'chisel'!!!

The block of ice was pre-cut by them...

Shaping my handle...

My darling trying her very best...

Behold the mighty ice mug made by none other than yours truly!!!

Look at the carnage!!!

The ice sculpture exhibit was kinda small (Felt like being in a freezer of a refrigerator) but I'm still happy because this was my first time seeing a real ice sculpture... Touching and feeling all the ice with my own hand and sculpting my very own ice mug were something that I will remember for the rest of my life...
