Korea Day 2 (Dolsot Bibimbap Dinner)

'Bibimbap'... A very popular Korean dish... The word 'bibimbap' means mixed rice but don't confuse it with our very own economy rice which is also known as mixed rice... These two dishes are actually very different although both using the same term...

'Bibimbap' is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with vegetables, kimchi and raw egg... Before eating it, you are require to stir the ingredients together with the rice literally mixing everything up... So now you know why it is call mixed rice... 'Bibimbap' can be served either cold or hot...


I don't know whether to call this as a side dish or is it part of the main course???


Noodles... To be eaten together with the steamboat...


Pork... Same as the noodles... To be eaten together with the steamboat...


As usual, here comes the side dishes...




'Dolsot Bibimbap' which is another variation of 'bibimbap'... By looking at the picture, I'm sure most of you will know what is the meaning of 'dolsot'... That's right... 'Dolsot' means stone pot... The stone pot is extremely hot... Anything that touches it will be cook within minutes!!!
