Recently I got bored of the 'HKS' air filter and wanted something BIG as I find the 'HKS' filter is way too small for the 'Toyota 1JZ' engine... So I went out sourcing for the biggest air filter that I can fit into the engine bay of 'FrankenBenz'... And I'm in luck as I managed to find one and it comes with a pretty good price!!! Introducing the 'AEM Dryflow' air filter...

Made in 'USA' yo!!!

Just look at the size!!!

Size comparison between the 'AEM' and 'HKS'... Huge difference!!!

'HKS' air filter with original plastic intake pipe...

'AEM' with custom aluminium intake pipe...

Ta-dah... Now the engine bay look so much nicer and not forgetting better intake due to the size of the filter... There's definitely some different as I find 'FrankenBenz' pulls a tad harder when using the 'AEM'... Now who wants my original 'HKS' air filter???

Choosing the right milk bottle for 'Mikayla' is something rather difficult... It might look extremely easy but in fact, it is not...

Choosing the right milk bottle for 'Mikayla' is something rather difficult... It might look extremely easy but in fact, it is not... I'm those person who prefer form over function and I like to be as unique as possible... I tend to stay away from norm and the first bottle that caught my eyes is definitely by 'Tommee Tippee'!!!

Just look at the design and I'm sure you'll agree with what I've just said... It look so different from those conventional looking milk bottle!!! I know there are more unique looking bottles in the market but those are not as well known as these three BIG brands... So before my darling conceive, I told myself that these will be the bottles that 'Mikayla' will be drinking from...

But sadly, this bottle doesn't perform as good as it looks... After using this bottle, 'Mikayla's' mouth and neck is full of milk!!! Milk just leak from her mouth... Although the nicer but the performance is definitely the worse among these bottles that I've gather today!!!

Second bottle that we tried is from 'MAM'... I love the design especially the ivory white one... The ivory white bottle used to be sold only in 'Walmart' but now it is available in 'Malaysia' as well... One of my darling's friend help us to buy the ivory white bottles from the 'States' and the moment we got it, we were really excited as it looks wonderful!!! Really pretty and I like the material they used for the bottles... The plastic is much harder and more resistant to scratch...

I really like the design of the teat as it is flat and 'Mikayla' is able to suck it right from the moment she's born... She tend to reject those normal round teat as her mouth is really small and she don't like to open it BIG... So it was much easier for use to put 'MAM' teat into her mouth... But sadly we need to abandon these amazing bottle as well... The reason is pretty simple... It was really troublesome to use and it just leak from the top and also the bottom as the bottom is removable as well!!! When it comes to washing, this bottle is the most tedious as there are a lot of parts for you to dismantle and wash... When it comes to assemble, you must screw it right and I always do it right but the damn bottle just keeps leaking!!! In the end, I decided to give up on it as the leaking part is really driving me up the wall!!!

The most famous brand but the one that I rejected the earliest... The reason is simple... Too many people using it and it look so boring!!! Besides that, 'Mikayla' rejected these bottles as the teat is way too BIG for her small mouth... When we gave up on 'MAM', we decided to give 'Mikayla' another try on the 'Avent' bottle and surprisingly, she seems to accept it when she gets bigger... So we decided to stick with 'Avent' as it is the best in overall performance... The only thing that I need to get pass is the look!!! But fear not as 'Avent' introduces a new design!!!

The moment I saw this design, I was really ecstatic as it looks awesome... When scouting for this new bottle but it was not available in 'Malaysia' yet... So I turn to my best friend which is the 'Internet' by the way and order a set for 'Mikayla' to try... After using it for two weeks, I'm really happy with the performance of it... In fact, I'm ordering a few more together with some new teats!!! This new 'Avent' bottle is highly recommended by me and if you're looking for a new bottle for your baby, look no further!!!

Finally I've completed the collection!!! Why am I so excited about it??? True I'm a BIG 'Lego' fans but this is not the reason why I'm so happy that I've finally completed the collection... The reason is because I don't have to pump 'Shell' petrol anymore!!!

Some people might say that all petrol are equal but the truth is, it is not!!! I don't pump 'RON97' so I can't comment on it but if you ask me about 'RON95', I can tell you that 'Shell' is the worse!!! It is so much inferior compare to others especially 'BHP' (i'm not getting paid on promoting 'BHP' petrol!!! i speak from experience)... Whenever I pump 'Shell RON95', my car felt under-power even with a 2.5L twin turbo engine up front!!! And I don't get the extra mileage that they claim as well... The whole car refuse to rev and the auto box is so reluctant to down shift... Really bad fuel if you ask me... If you're driving a performance car, please stay away from it!!!

So let me tell you which is the best petrol out there currently... The first goes to 'BHP'... Excellent power even using RON95... No other petrol brand come close!!! The next is 'Mobil/Esso/Petron' follow by 'Caltex' and 'Petronas'... And coming at a distance last is 'Shell' which used to be my favourite petrol... So sad to see a great brand producing such crappy petrol!!!

If you don't know, I'm not really a 'Twilight' fans!!! I still remembered the time I watched the first installment... I cursed like no tomorrow!!! Then I started reading the books and it makes some sense (as the story is supposed to be boring!!!) but still I'm no BIG fans of the installment... And since I've watched all the previous one, it doesn't make sense for me to skip the last installment...

Again, the movie is quite boring in my opinion but definitely better than the previous one... Besides 'Michael Sheen' who plays the character 'Aro' (which is brilliant!!!), I find most of the actor/actress a bit dead and with no facial expression at all especially 'Kristen Stewart' and 'Robert Pattinson'!!! Both are lousy actor/actress if you ask me... So my suggestion is please watch this movie and get over it as it is just not worth talking about!!!

Yay my desktop computer revive from the dead!!! No more staring at a puny little screen while trying to edit my pictures!!! This is my third desktop computer to date... The first and second one is a complete unit while this latest one is not... I just changed what is necessary as my wallet doesn't allow me to go bonkers on the spec let alone a full system...

My first system is using 'Intel' while my second one uses 'AMD'... For my new system, I wanted to use back 'AMD' (as I'm a 'AMD' supporter!!!) instead of 'Intel' but I've got no choice as I'm planning to do 'Hackintosh' (installing OS X Mountain Lion on my desktop) and unfortunately 'AMD' processor is not supported!!!

Intel latest 'Ivy Bridge' processor... 'i5 3570K'... Wanted to get the 'i7' but it is too bloody expensive!!! Not really going to overclock it but still I get the 'K' version as the price difference is not huge...

'ASRock Z77 Extreme 4' is my choice when it comes to motherboard... I buy this motherboard because it looks awesome!!! It is really beautiful in my opinion...

I've always like 'Corsair' so no surprise here... Got myself four of these (16GB)... So no more shortage of rams!!! My previous desktop only have 2GB of rams!!!

Frankly speaking, I don't really need a new hard drive!!! But everyone's telling me that 'SSD' is super duper fast and it really got me curious!!! Bought 120GB one as 240GB is way too expensive!!! Again 'Corsair' for me... And that's about it... I'm using back my old 'XFX HD4830' graphic card and my really old 'Lian Li PC7' casing!!!

The first time my computer boot, I'm really ecstatic and it was fast!!! Way faster than what I've expected!!! Or maybe I'm just too use to my old desktop that runs like a slug??? Anyway, I'm really happy with my purchase as everything is so much smoother and faster compare to before!!!

Damn my desktop computer is officially dead!!! Recently I'm having a hard time trying to switch it on... But it seems like it decided to die on me... I believe the power supply is faulty and hopefully I'm right as it is cheap to get it replace... If the problem lies somewhere else, I guess is time for me to upgrade as my desktop is pretty darn old... At least 5-6 years if my memory serves me right...

Hmm thinking about it, I don't really need a new computer as I still have my trusty 'IBM Thinkpad' laptop which should be in the museum by now and not forgetting my newer but super slow 'HP Netbook'!!! Both are not really ideal for photo editing purposes but I guess I don't have a choice right now!!! I've tried editing pics with the netbook and surprisingly it is able to cope with it!!! No crashes just that the screen is super small and it is pretty laggy!!! Other than that, I've got no complaint!!!

Still need to get my desktop fix as there are a lot of pics in it... Wanted to post about my darling's experience on giving birth but all the pics are in the hard drive and I can't get access to it!!! Now, 'Apple Macbook Pro' look so tempting but can't really splurge on it as my wallet is in a pretty bad shape now!!! Haiz...

Not really a BIG fans of 'James Bond' franchise... But still I don't hate it... Whenever there's a new 'Bond' film, I will still try my very best to watch it... 'James Bond' or '007' is a movie franchise that I can't really tell whether I like it or not... I've watched almost all 'James Bond' film since 'Pierce Brosnan' starring it but surprisingly, I can't remember anything at all!!! The same thing happen when 'Daniel Craig' took over the job... I can't remember the storyline at all... The only thing that I remember is 'James Bond' is almost God like... He won't get injured and he's super smart and all the ladies will fall in love with him eventually!!! Sex scene is inevitable but too bad we are living in 'Malaysia', so most of the interesting parts are long gone by the time it reaches our cinema!!!

So this time, I expect the same in this newest 'James Bond' film call 'Skyfall'... This time, I'm right about a few things like what I've said earlier... Almost all the ladies will fall in love with him and he's still smart... But this time, 'James Bond' is not that tough anymore... He will get shot at and he fail at physical training!!! Not something I expected... Frankly speaking I really like this movie and in my opinion, the storyline is good as well... The only thing that I don't like is the ending part where 'James Bond' took refuge at his old house... It looks a lot like 'Home Alone' to me where they setup booby trap and waiting for the bad guy to trigger it!!! Not cool... Other than that, no complain from me!!!

My newly installed 'Dastek Unichip Version Q' is officially taken out from 'FrankenBenz'!!! Just after two freaking days!!!...

My newly installed 'Dastek Unichip Version Q' is officially taken out from 'FrankenBenz'!!! Just after two freaking days!!!  No doubt the whole car felt a lot lighter and it boost much stronger but it is a pain in the ass as my 'FrankenBenz' keep stalling!!! The best part is you need to wait for some time (if you're lucky, 10 minutes and if you're not, almost an hour!!!) before you're able to start it again!!!

On the first day, everything was fine until I encountered this problem... It started right after the engine died... So I thought this might be an isolated case and nothing to worry about... The very next day proved my theory was wrong... It was a hellish day for me as 'FrankenBenz' kept stalling and stalling!!!  At first I thought the fuel level is low and it needed some fuel... So I parked it at the roadside and walked to a nearby petrol station... Pour the petrol in and tried starting it but to no avail... Plugging and unplugging the the original ECU a few times but still it won't start... Waited for another 30 minutes or so and decided to give it a try and viola it started...

Call the workshop that installed the 'Unichip' and told them about the problem and they asked me to drive it to their workshop and let them have a look... Drove my car for less than 300m and the engine's dead again!!! Tried starting it a few times and it just won't start... I have enough of this shit and took out my trusty 'Victorinox Swiss Army Knife' and cut off the  wires tapping to the original ECU... Luckily my boot got a roll of electrical tape... Put in the car key and twist it... No more problem and it started like a charm... The downside is the car felt so much heavier after dismantling the 'Unichip'... But at least the car's moving!!!

Call the seller and told him about his faulty 'Unichip' and he's gentleman enough to refund me my money as he's giving me a week warranty... So 'FrankenBenz' is back to basic for the time being... But not for long!!!

To be continue...

I'm sure a lot of you out there heard of 'Unichip'... It is a piggyback ECU made for petrol and diesel engines... It is famous for it's capabilities which almost matches a standalone!!! But too bad it is not so famous in 'Malaysia' as there are not a lot of tuners around... Unlike 'Greddy' famous 'E-Manage', you will need a special equipment to adjust the fuel...

Found myself a good used unit of 'Unichip Q' (not the latest... latest one is Q+) and decided to give it a try... I always like to be different and I'm those who don't like to follow the norm!!! When I first got a glimpse of the unit, I was shocked as it looked really small!!! It felt very solid and tampering is almost impossible as there's not a single screw in sight!!!

Since only a handful of tuners around, I decided to go to one of the most reputable one which is located in 'Sunway'...

Besides being compact, the amount of wiring needed to hook it up is as minimal as possible!!! Just a few wiring required to be tap onto the original ECU...

During setup, the tuner encounter some problems with the 'Unichip'... The whole unit went limp and it can't detect anything at all... There is no communication between the 'Unichip' and the laptop!!! At first, we thought the problem might come from the 'Dastek' fuel controller device... Borrow one from another workshop and the same thing happened!!! Plugged in another 'Unichip' albeit an older version and there's communication  between the two devices... So meaning my unit is faulty then!!! Damn...

So the tuner decided to do a reset and flash it again... Insert the require map and viola there's communication!!!

Strapping onto the dyno machine and is time to find out how much horsepower the '1JZ' is churning out!!!

In standard form, the '1JZ' is churning out slightly less than 200ps on wheels which is around 253ps on engine (base on 30% transmission and drivetrain lost)... Looking at this figure, I'm pretty sad (but is normal for a standard '1JZ' to put out these kind of numbers) as 'Toyota' quoted 280ps on standard '1JZ' engine... Currently I'm running on 'RON 95' instead of 'RON 97' so I assume there's some number lost because of the lower 'RON' rating as 'Japanese' like to use 'RON 100' for their performance engine!!!

After tuning with the air fuel ratio (original ECU is way too rich!!!) and retarding a few degrees of ignition timing due to knocking and also increased the boost from the standard 0.8 bar to 1.0 bar, the '1JZ' churn out a respectable 246.52ps on wheels which is around 320ps on engine... Not too shabby!!!

After tuning, the whole car seems lighter and no more boost cut!!! Normally it cuts at around 0.9 bar... The torque is much stronger as well as the car pulls much harder compare to before... As a conclusion, piggyback ECU is a MUST for turbocharged cars as it liberate a lot of power just by turning up the boost a bit and dialling the air fuel ratio...

Drove all the way back from 'Kuala Lumpur' to 'Batu Pahat' on the 19th of October... It was a Friday night... Reached 'Batu Pahat' around 1am in the morning... Talked to my darling for a while and I decided to sleep as I need to wake up at 6 in the morning... Suddenly my darling told me that her tummy hurt a bit but it doesn't feel like contraction... So we talked to our baby... "Mikayla, if you wanna come out, please come out tomorrow and let daddy and mummy sleep well tonight"!!! My darling always told her to come out on weekend as I'm around... She even told her to come out on that Saturday which is the 20th of October as my darling is having a tough time sleeping nowadays... After a while, my darling feels much more comfortable and we went to sleep...

Reached the hospital the very next morning and waited for our turn... Nothing special on this particular checkup at first... Doctor told my darling that we can still go shopping and enjoy our weekend as our baby is still not due yet... But suddenly, she told us that my darling need to be admitted today and she need to be induce!!! Her amniotic fluid is low and it is not good for our baby (i believe our baby heard what we said to her yesterday night!!!)... We were really excited as the time has come for us to see our 'Mikayla'!!!

Recently changed all four of my 'FrankenBenz' tyres to a more pocket friendly brand... Quite frankly I've never heard of this particular brand before... It was recommended by the tyre shop owner saying that this tyre is very good as the price is cheap and the performance is above average...  All these while, I only used top brand tyres as I believe a good tyre is really important as it is the only contact you have with the road...  Unfortunately, my wallet is complaining about the high prices that the branded tyre command!!! So I got no choice but to try out the cheaper alternative...

The tyre that I've changed to this time is call 'N3000' and it is from 'Roadstone' (never heard of it!!!)... Upon a closer inspection, only I realized that this brand is actually a 'Nexen' tyre which is from 'Korea' (and I've heard of it!!!)... Frankly speaking it does boost my confidence up a little bit when I know that the tyres are actually from 'Nexen'...

The tyres are really cheap and I save around RM800++ for all four tyres... Each tyre is around RM200++ cheaper compare to my previous 'Dunlop' (which is not the most expensive in the market!!!)... So looking at the price, I did not have very high expectation from the tyres...

After using the tyres for a while, I'm beginning to like it a lot!!! The ride felt more pliant and road noise is definitely lower compare to the 'Dunlop'!!! Turn in is about the same and I don't really feel any difference in out right grip right now as I don't really push my car hard!!! So sometimes it is kind of waste to use high performance tyres!!!  The 'N3000' is doing a really good job currently keeping my car on the road... So the next test will be a round up 'Genting'!!!  That's all for now and I will do an update on the tyres when I found something be it pros or cons...  Till then...

This is one helluva sci-fi movie that I don't really get it at first... But after searching and reading from the web, it gets so much clearer!!! Still I don't really fancy it... I know there are a lot of praises for this movie but I find it somewhat boring... I guess this is down to the fact that the story is a little bit slow pace and lack of any excitement!!! The storyline is great but the execution is not... Nonetheless, 'Emily Blunt' is just perfect!!! In fact, the reason I watched this movie is solely because of her!!!

ps: In the story, it said that it was almost impossible to dispose of bodies but how come the old 'Joe' are still killing??? I thought they are suppose to send back for the looper to finish the job??? Weird... Or maybe I still don't get it???

OMG, I'm so anxious right now... I know my darling's due date is this month end but frankly speaking, I'm super duper anxious...

OMG, I'm so anxious right now... I know my darling's due date is this month end but frankly speaking, I'm super duper anxious!!! Forgive me as this is my first time being a dad so a little bit of drama is forgiveable I guess...

We name our princess 'Mikayla'!!!

Pity my darling as the tummy is getting bigger and heavier as time passes... Nowadays, she's having trouble sleeping as well... But all these is worth it as our little princess is developing well... She said she felt like carrying a bowling ball in her tummy!!! :)

Will definitely shower you with lots of love, Mikayla!!!

So grow and develop well my dear 'Mikayla'... Mummy and daddy will be waiting for you!!!

I'm very sure almost everyone knows about the iconic 'Mini' of the past... Fast forward a few years (quite a number of years in fact!!!), we have the new 'Mini' which won a lot of praises due to it's go kart like handling characteristic...

Recently, I'm privileged enough to test drive a supercharged version of the 'Mini Cooper S' (older version of the 'Cooper S') and I'm really ecstatic about it!!! There are a lot of first time for me so I'm really looking forward to it... This will be my first time driving a new 'Mini Cooper S'... Also my first time driving a supercharged car and not forgetting my first time driving a six speed manual gearbox (always wanted to try this!!!)...

So how's it like??? The handling is just superb... Steering is very direct without any lag and not forgetting the short wheelbase contributing to the agile feel to it... Damping is also spot on if you ask me... Corner almost flat and the suspension still manages to iron out almost all irregularities!!! Quite magical... The suspension never crashes and is pliant enough for everyday driving...

The supercharged engine is a gem as well... No lag at all unlike my 'FrankenBenz' (which is already quite lag free!!!)... Just point the steering and step on the accelerator and the 'Mini' sped off quite dramatically... If compare to our 'Pug', the 'Cooper S' is way more powerful!!! The gear changes is not something that I like... The throw is on the long side and the gear knob is just too BIG for my liking!!! The shift is too notchy if you ask me... No matter how bad is the shifting quality, I will still opt for a manual gearbox over any auto/twin clutch/CVT gearboxes!!! I'm a purist if you must know...

But sad to say, no matter how good is the 'Mini' I will never buy one as I don't really see the point in it... The car is small but it comes with a BIG price tag!!! And you know what is the BIGGEST problem??? I always believe the 'Mini' is a girl's car!!! So no you won't see me driving one as my daily drive... A short test drive yes, but not my everyday car!!!

I've heard of the past 'Judge Dredd' movies but never really watch one before until recently I've decided to give it a try... I'm not sure bout those before this latest 'Dredd' movie, but this one kick some serious ass!!!

The movie is violent and brutal... And the 'CG' is really impressive as well... As for the storyline, it is really straight forward but entertaining nonetheless... Frankly speaking, I never expect it to be this good... Or maybe because of my low expectation, I find it rather good??? I believe this is not the case as this new 'Dredd' is seriously good!!! Two thumbs up from me and definitely a highly recommended movie if you ask me...

Got myself two sets of rear boot rubber for my 'FrankenBenz'... The original one is in a very bad shape... In fact there is no more rubber... Just bare metal as you can see from the pic below...

After installing the 'AMG' ducktail spoiler, the whole boot became very heavy... So a lot of people tend to close it like they close other cars!!! Slam it down HARD!!! So you can imagine what happen when they do this... My heart drops to the floor when you hear the metal hit against each other!!!

Without any rubber to absorb the impact!!!

The new boot rubber install!!! Nice...

Oops... Out of focus shot as it is raining and I'm running for shelter!!!

Finally I've upgraded my 'Galaxy Nexus' to 'Jelly Bean' which is the latest 'Android' software to date... Actually I don't plan to do the upgrade as I find it really troublesome as I need to reorganize and customize the whole phone to my liking all over again!!!

So why do the upgrading??? Cause I was forced to!!! My previous 'Gummy Ice Cream Sandwich' ROM decided to crash after updating the 'Apex Launcher' hence making my phone useless as I can't access to anything!!!

Restore it to original 'Ice Cream Sandwich' ROM and I find it really boring and lacking customization...

My phone is currently running version 4.1.1 instead of 4.1... Which means that the version I have is one of the newest... After running the custom 'AOKP Jelly Bean' ROM for a few days, I found that the ROM is not as good as my previous 'Gummy ICS' ROM... My phone is more prone to lagging and the reception is not really stable... If you crank the brightness of your screen to the half way mark, the rate of the battery drain is just staggering!!! As for the battery drain, it can be solve easily by turning the brightness down a few notches but the lagging part is really bothering me!!! Will test out the new ROM for a few days more and decide whether to stick with it or flash it to other ROM...

Frankly speaking this is one of the worst 'Resident Evil' movie franchise ever!!! I'm not going to beat around the bush as I don't want to waste other peoples time because they might think that this is a good movie... It is not!!! This movie sucks!!! I really don't see the point of filming it... There's no storyline at all!!! This might even be the worst movie of 2012!!! No doubt that 'Milla Jovovich' is awesome but I believe that they are purposely dragging and trying to cash in more money by making more films... I know there will be another 'Resident Evil' movie and according to the director, that will be the last... In my opinion, they should have just film that movie and skip this one... If you have watched all the 'Resident Evil' movie franchise, go ahead and watch this (luckily the movie is short!!!) and try to endure one and a half hours of pointless torture... After that, keep your finger cross that the last one will be better...

I received a SMS from 'McD' yesterday saying that they will be launching a new burger which is call 'Samurai Burger' today... As an avid 'McD' fans, I will be sure that I'm among the first to sink my teeth into it!!! And I did...

I've never heard of the 'Samurai Burger' before (not sure whether is this a common burger found in 'Japan'???) and I'm really excited about it... From the SMS, I know that the burger is beef and it comes with a new drink call 'Sakura McFizz'... Complementing the burger will be 'Katsu Curry McShaker Fries'...

As I'm super duper hungry, double quarter pound beef patty is the way to go!!!

Doesn't look special but trust me, it is nice!!! The beef patty is dip in teriyaki sauce just like how they prepare the 'Prosperity Burger'... The sauce tasted a bit sweet and it is very flavourful creating a wonderful taste eaten with the quarter pound beef patty... In my opinion, the 'Samurai Burger' is so much better compare to 'GCB'!!!

I'm not a BIG fans of 'McShaker Fries' as I find it often spoilt the taste of the fries... Since this is something new and I have never eaten before, I decided to give it a go...

Surprisingly, I find the 'Katsu Curry McShaker Fries' quite nice which is something I'm not expecting... But still I find the best way to enjoy fries is with a little help from salt and pepper!!! Simple but still the best... Lastly the new 'Sakura McFizz' drink... Nothing to shout about for this and I will definitely go back to my norm which is 'Diet Coke'... 'Sakura McFizz' is just 'Sprite + Ribena'!!!

The only downside is the cost of it... Quite expensive in my opinion as this 'Double Samurai Burger' set cost me RM18.50 during 'McValue Lunch' promo... So without 'McValue Lunch/Dinner' expect this set to cost around RM20!!! But I will definitely go back for more as this burger rocks!!!

I'm Lovin It!!!
