As promise this blog post will be about 'eat FOOD VILLAGE' in 'Publika'... This is the official food court in 'Publika'... As you know, we 'Malaysian' love our food very much and it is a must for every shopping complex to have at least a food court to cater for our constant craving for good food... 'eat FOOD VILLAGE' uses the very same concept found in 'Lot 10' which is also famous for their food court... Only famous food shop or stall makes it into their food court... If your food is not up to standard, you can basically forget about opening a stall in their food court in either shopping complex... This is our maiden visit and frankly speaking there are a lot of stalls that we are not really familiar with... In fact, the only food stall that we know is 'Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee'... Obviously, we are going to try those that we have never eaten before...

After Googling around, I found out that this is a very famous restaurant in 'Penang'... They specializes in yam rice as you can see from the signage...

This is the yam rice set and it cost RM9.90 per set... The set consist of a bowl of yam rice, a stew egg and bean curd and a bowl of pork soup broth with some pork in it... The yam rice is not bad but definitely not the best... In fact we are a bit disappointed with it since I've read a lot of good reviews about it... 

We consider the broth as okay only... Truth to be told, there is nothing to shout about it!!!

This is the worse in our opinion... The stew tasted really bland bordering to tasteless!!!

Next stop, 'Ah Yap Hokkien Mee & Seafood Restaurant'... 

The business is super duper good and it is really wise for them to use this device... When your food is ready, this device will vibrate and beep so you don't have to stand in front of the stall like an idiot!!! It allow you to find a comfortable seat and relax while waiting for your food to be serve...

Only one word to describe the 'hokkien mee' which is 'AWESOME'!!! I really like it a lot... This plate of 'hokkien mee' cost RM7.90 and I find it really reasonable... Will I come back for more??? A BIG yes from me!!!

One of the best selling 'pearl milk tea' franchise 'Chatime' can also be found here... This is my third time trying 'Chatime' and to be honest, I'm still not convince... Actually I wanted to do a comparison between 'Chatime' and 'Gong Cha' but too bad, I lost all my photos so the intended blog post won't be happening anytime soon... But I can tell you the winner here... The winner goes to 'Gong Cha'!!!

RM6.90 for this and in my opinion, definitely not value for money... The taste of the tea is not really strong and definitely not aromatic enough for me... So I don't really know why people are queuing up for this as I can find cheaper alternatives!!!

People are talking about 'Publika' nowadays and I don't really know what the fuss is all about... Decided to check it out and I got the answer instantly... If you are expecting a shopping experience similar to all the others shopping complexes around, you will be shock... 'Publika' single handedly changes my perception of a shopping complex!!! It is a totally unique experience which I like it a lot... 

The management of 'Publika' really made the right choice for calling it a shopping gallery... You will see loads of artistic pieces scatter around 'Publika' and this is one of the main highlights... I like this sculpted seat a lot... This artistic piece opens up as a seat which is just incredible...

Along the main straight of the shopping complex opps gallery, you will find different types of sculpted item and it is a joy walking around and touching and feeling it...

Yeah right... 'Boycott The Common'... Why follow others footstep where you can create your own!!!

Although there are still a lot of vacant shoplot around, this will not deter me from going again... My stay in 'Publika' was a short one and I will be back for more pictures taking... My next blog post will be 'EAT' which is the food court of 'Publika'... Till then...

Kids nowadays are really fortunate!!! Just look at the cupcake above... It is really adorable and not to mention expensive!!! This cupcake is specially ordered for my niece 3 years old birthday... It is a combination of 'Sesame Streets' character plus 'Barney'... 

Among all the 'Sesame Streets' character, I like 'Cookie Monster' the most... So obviously, out of all these six, I prefer 'Cookie Monster' more than the others... The attention to detail is just awesome if you ask me... I wonder how long it took for them to finish these six figurine???

This is a necklace making device... Since my niece is super vain, I guess this is the perfect present for her... But too bad this set is for age 4+ and above so she can't really make the necklace herself...

Finally!!! After all these months of torture, I'm happy to announce that our beloved 'Pug' is back to it's healthy state... No more 'Depollution System Faulty' error message and the engine check light is off for good!!!

But how long can this last??? This is the BIG question that keeps lingering in my mind... This problem exist since June and this is an on and off kind of problem... Whenever we sent our car in for diagnosis, they managed to solve this problem... But after a while (the longest is around 1 week time), the problem came back and it is really frustrating... So I'm really keeping my finger cross and hopefully they solved the problem once and for all!!!

 Technician diagnosing our car... 

I can't remember how many turbo solenoid and dump valves they have change... At least 3 for each if I'm not mistaken... After sending our car in for two weeks, the technician can't seems to solve the problem as well... Before this, they have diagnosed the car and told me that the turbo is faulty and it need to be replace... I'm more than happy to hear this because judging from the turbo, it is indeed in a very bad state as I can see oil covering the turbo... So we took our car back and waited patiently for the turbo to arrive... 

Finally when the turbo arrived, we made an appointment and send our car in and I was greeted with all sorts of nonsense... The service advisor said they need to re-diagnose the car before they can start changing any parts... This is really stupid as they have all the records saying that our turbo is faulty... Why do they need to start doing this all over again... The first time they diagnose they change the dump valves but the problem still exist... Then they diagnose again and this time the error code shows that the turbo solenoid is faulty and they change the solenoid again!!! But still they can't solve the problem... 

So my darling cannot 'tahan' anymore and called them almost everyday talking from the service advisor to the manager in charge... In the end they decided to change the turbo as they believe that the turbo is indeed faulty!!! If they change it in the beginning, it will save us at least one and a half weeks of our time... But looking at the bright side, at least we got a new turbo and the irritating error message code is finally off!!! Luckily they managed to solve our car this time because I'm thinking of writing a complain letter to 'Peugeot France' and told them how incompetent 'Nasim' is!!! I guess this letter will have to wait!!! 

I've been craving for 'McD' beef family dinner box set for so long... Without my darling, we can't finish the set so she's a MUST if we wanted to have 'McD' family dinner box set... The moment I reached 'McD', I told them that I wanted the beef family dinner box set but I was greeted with "itu set sudah habis"!!! "Sekarang sudah tukar kepada 'Classic Chicken McDeluxe' set"... "Semalam baru tukar"... I admit that I'm disappointed but at least I can try out their latest offering... My darling is the happiest among us as she don't really like beef...

She's the first to bite into the burger and she said that it was spicy... Her younger brother took a bite and said the same thing... I don't believe them and I too took a bite... And you know what, it was indeed spicy!!! Damn they took the wrong burger I guess!!! 

See, no tomato!!! The 'Classic Chicken McDeluxe' comes with a slice of tomato and obviously this one doesn't!!! Can't have the beef set and now I didn't have the chance to test their new burger!!! What a day...
