It's been a norm for both me and my darling to go searching for local snacks/delicacies whenever we go travelling... So as usual, we found some really nice and special snacks in Korea...

PRESENTING...

'Sausage wrap in flour'... Koreans really love to eat sausages... Everywhere you go, you will see a lot of people selling sausages... We found this really special and decided to give it a try... Not bad but it was not as nice as we hope...

I don't know what to call this... But it was cooked in a fashion just like our 'lok lok' in Malaysia... They will put this in some kind of soup and boiled it until it was cooked... My darling just loves this... Really nice indeed... Highly recommended...

In my opinion, this was the best of the lot... I really love this... A fish like thing that I also don't know what to call... They stuffed red beans as the filling and it was really really nice...

My darling enjoying all the snacks!!! Yummy!!!

The very famous 'Yongduam' aka 'The Dragon Head Rock'... Legend has it that an envoy sent by the Dragon King to gather the elixer of life on Mt. Halla, was shot down by the angry guardian spirit of Hallasan... The fleeing dragon fell into the sea and turned into rock with his head still surging towards the sky...

So in your opinion, does it looked like a dragon head??? I guessed one must use a lot of imagination here... It sure don't looked like one to me!!! But I really enjoyed the scenery there... Really nice...

So sorry because most of my pictures were not that sharp because the wind was really really strong there... I can't even hold my camera steady (didn't bring my tripod!!!)... Hence the not so sharp pics... After taken all the shots, my eyes became watery... You know why??? Because the damn wind was so strong that my eyes cannot endured the constant abused from it!!!

ENJOY THE SCENERY!!!

My darling posing with 'Dol Hareubang'... 'Dol Hareubang' were considered to be gods offering both protection and fertility and were placed outside of gates for protection against demons travelling between realities...

'Dol Hareubang' were carved from porous basalt (volcanic rock)... Nothing to be surprised of because Jeju Island was created entirely from volcanic eruptions approximately 2 million years ago... Volcanic rock dominated the entire island...

Legends said that by touching the tummy of the 'Dol Hareubang', one can becomes wealthy... If you wanted to have babies, then it's a must for you to touch the 'Dol Hareubang' nose and ear... Nose for baby boy and ear for baby girl!!!

'Dokebi Road' aka 'Mysterious Road' in Jeju Island was a tourist attraction but not so to the locals... So why called the 'Mysterious Road'??? What's so mysterious about this particular stretch of road??? Apparently when one turned off his/her car engine, their car will start rolling uphill!!!

This road was founded by a taxi driver who was giving a newlywed couple a driving tour around the area in year 1980... So obviously this stretch of road became really popular after that...

Scientifically there was nothing mysterious about this road... Actually the cars were all going downhill instead of uphill... This was all an illusion... Due to the lack of a true horizon, subconsciously our judgement of a slope was misled by the false horizon in that area... When you reach the end of the road, you will noticed that the road was actually going downhill instead of uphill... And this explained why the car will start rolling when you turned off the engine... Myth busted I'm afraid!!! Haha... But we all enjoyed it nonetheless...

It started to snow AGAIN!!! But too bad I can't captured the snow in this pic... I tried but I failed!!!

BBQ chicken stick... Really nice... The chicken was really really soft and tender!!! And not forgetting juicy as well...

My darling enjoying her BBQ chicken stick...

Noticed this really nice scenery near our tour bus and decided to snap a few pics...

Avatar 3D... One word to sum it up... Awesome!!! In terms of CGI, this is the best ever... I was blown away the moment I put on my 3D glass... I'm afraid it was really that awesome... I don't know about 2D though... I heard a lot of good review regarding this movie and I must agree with most... A few months ago, I was really skeptical about this movie... The reason for this was because it looks fake when I watched the trailer... But when I watched the movie for real... OMG!!! Even my darling praised the CGI... Mind you she's not a movie freak like me and she don't give a damn about CGI...

The storyline was kind of basic... In my opinion, I felt that the front half of the movie was a bit slow paced... But at least you can enjoyed at the really cool CGI... I personally really like the second half of the movie... A really big thumbs up for the director for bringing us this really awesome movie... Really recommended and remember to watch it in 3D!!! A great way to end year 2009!!!

Next destination... Jeju Island... Considered as the most beautiful island in Korea... This was the place that the Koreans will go for their honeymoon... We were considered lucky because our flight to Jeju was scheduled at around 2 something in the afternoon... So we got plenty of time and we don't have to rush unlike some others... I knew some of the other tour were not so lucky because they needed to wait at the airport for around 2-3 hours in ordered to catch their next flight to Jeju... We still managed to tour around Seoul and had nice BBQ lunch before taking off to the airport...

Along the way, I saw a lot of Coffee Beans and Starbucks... Guessed the Koreans really likes to drink coffee... What surprised me the most was the lack of McDonald's and KFC in Korea... The reason for this was because Korean prefer Lotteria which was they very own local fast food joint... So that explained the lack of McD and KFC in Korea...

But Dunkin Donuts was everywhere!!! You can virtually walked around in Korea blindfolded and simply walk into a Dunkin Donuts shop...

Snapped this pic in our tour bus...

I'm so excited because the moment we reached the airport, it started to snow!!! Just looked at the road... I bet the Koreans were really curious looking at a bunch of really 'JAKUN' people snapping pictures of the road covered in snow...

Waited for our turn to board the plane... Oh gosh another boring hour on the plane!!!

Thank god because the view out of the plane was really spectacular... Cotton candy like clouds covering the whole sky... Really a sight to behold!!!
